About Me

Welcome to my website!  I wanted to share a few things about myself with you so you can get to know me better.  I was born and raised in a small town in Ontario, Canada.  I currently live with my family in British Columbia where I manage the food services department at Fountainview Academy, a private high school nestled in the heart of the Fountain Mountains. 

 

At the age of 12, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism which led to many years of health struggles.  Through these challenges, I have gained a firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to live with a thyroid disorder.  

 

Through much research and ultimately by way of natural means, I have been able to reverse my hypthyroidism and have been free from medication for over 3 years. 

 

Having several other health issues is what prompted me to seek out my own answers to these problems.  Through much research and practical experience, I have become well acquainted with allergy-free living, holistic health principles, natural remedies, and healthful cooking methods.

 

Since that time, I have written multiple cookbooks, obtained a certificate in Vegetarian Nutrition, and have taught plant-based and allergy friendly cooking classes.  I continue to educate myself on natural living and alternatives to traditional medical practices.
